The 3rd Ian Wright Memorial Shoot took place at DBAC on Saturday 21st October. Everyone raised a glass in Ian’s memory before the shoot began, and enjoyed homemade cake afterwards.
The round was a Western for Longbow, Flatbow and Barebow archers, attending from DBAC, Pastures, ArrowFlight and LNER, who shot in fairly good conditions despite the oncoming storm Brian! The trophies were retained by Andy MacClennon (DBAC) and Sandra Bennett (LNER). Full results can be found on the results page.
The shoot is held in memory of Ian Wright who was a member of DBAC and sadly died. His wife Mary and son David donated the trophies and came along to Gold Close to present them.
The inaugural DBAC Fledgling Championships were held on Sunday 17th September, for all ‘newbies’ to get a taste of their first tournament. There were 10 entrants from the 2016 & 2017 joiners, seniors shot a ‘Long Metric 4’ round and the juniors shot a ‘Long Metric 5’ round.
The League Shoot held on Sunday 10th September, was very well attended – in fact, a full house! Members from DBAC, DAC, Pastures and Aequus shot a Western in less than ideal weather, but a good time was had by all.
The final results for the DCAA Summer League will be published in due course
