DESCRIPTION:Derwent Bowmen Autumn Beginners’ Course 2024\nSession 1\n\nDates: Saturday – 26th October\nTiming: 09:00 – 12:00 at each session\nCost: £80\nLocation: Derwent Bowmen\, Gold Close\, Darley Bridge\, Matlock\, DE4 2LA\nWhat3Words: ///hindering.remedy.date \nHave you ever wanted to take up archery?\nOur beginners’ course will give you tools needed to start your archery journey with our friendly helpful coaches giving you the knowledge to start enjoying archery. \nThe course runs over 4 weeks\, each week it’s Saturday 09:00 – 12:00.\nSession dates are:\nSession 1 – 26th October\nSession 2 – 2nd November\nSession 3 – 9th November\nSession 4 – 16th November\nYou must completed 12 hours of tuition. If you cannot attend all sessions\, please let us know as we may be able to arrange a catch up session.\nArchery is a fantastically adaptable sport\, with all disabilities catered for and we’re proud to say our facilities are wheelchair friendly – if you have any concerns please let us know.\nMinimum age to attend the course is 8 years old\, there is no max age as long as you’re able to draw the bow. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the course (you are allowed to take part in the beginners’ course too).\nAll tuition and equipment is provided. Once you complete the course you can join any Archery GB club in the UK (target archery’s governing body) and are under no obligation to join us at Derwent Bowmen – as much as we would love for you to do so.\nPrice is £80 for the entire course.\nTo sign up please email beginners@derwentbowmen.co.uk\nMembership to note: Indoor range closure\, expect increased activity around the clubhouse before and after the session. When carrying out supported practice sessions\, learners who are under the age of 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult. You must hold a current Session Coach or Level 1 Coach Licence\, before starting your Development Coach qualification.  \n  \nDevelopment Coach Module Cancellation Policy:  There is a minimum requirement of eight Learners to make a Development Coach module viable for delivery. You want to shoot at a moving cabbage? Check. Shoot at a (metal) crow? Check. It’s a good fun shoot\, to celebrate the longest day of the year.\nAll club members are welcome as well as their friends and family – non-archers will be given instruction before shooting begins. \nIt’s recommended archers bring their own tabs and arm guards\, jelly bows are known to bite. \nIf you’re willing and able\, setup starts at 16:00 (it takes a while to get setup) and help is always appreciated. Also a tear down at the end. \nMembership to note\, this will be a closure of the outdoor range from 16:00 – 21:00\, also a closure of the indoor range whilst equipment is retrieved and returned from the mezzanine.
